Hello all.
Just recently acquired a cable modem hookup and I would just love to try
GPL out on-line.Which are the best series to indulge in and how should
my GPL setup be in terms of the AI settings(I have changed mine to a
slower field)be set up to?
Also,I have repainted a few cars in my install and will they show up in
the on-line racing or do i have to go back to the original car liveries?
thank you  for any help, since I am a total rookie to this, any help would
kindly be appreciated.

Go to  http://www.vroc.net/ and read up on setting up for VROC. After
you get a cable.ini setup and register go to
http://gpl.gamestats.com/gsb/ and get GPL Spy Boy. This will connect
you to the online racing world of VROC.

You will be racing with humans, I wouldn't worry about the AI
settings.

You will see your car as its painted, everyone else will se the stock
cars ( I could be mistaken here, but i believe this to be correct)..

Come on in, host a race!!!

THANKS GP.....hey,another query.I got SPYBOY but in the install it says
it is ver.1......being an old computing guy i checked for an update
since this seems to be quite new software and always people find bugs in
new Sware code. and on the website when I went back to it.....it says
there is a new update version of SPYBOY......ver.1.0.11.2 or something
like that...and it's somewhat smaller than the original file size.Is
this the software of choice now and is it stable?
thanks for your response
GPK
(and i cant wait to go racing)

The most current version is 1.1.0.2 according to the 'about' page.
There is a full install of the new version and a zip package that just
updates the executable files (this is the smaller of the two).  There
maybe some more minor "tweaks" coming up, but this is pretty stable and
close to a done deal.
