i have the gpl demo from the nascar99 cd and i it runs fine on my
girlfriends computer she has p2 333 with a 4 meg d3d vid card, i have a
p2 233 with a diamond monster fusion 16 meg pci, i load the gpl demo
from the cd then go to run it and it freezes at the sierra screen!

any help?

Let's not get into religious wars over the manufacturer of our Voodoo2
cards. Diamond Monster2 works fine with GPL. Don't know about Diamond
Monster Fusion. If you have installed DirectX 6.0, you need to copy an
older version (2.53) of the 3dfx glide2x.dll. The latest glide2x.dll
(2.54) seems to be the problem.

What??? You had a dodgey board Phil. I know of 2 machines that it works
fine on the Monster.

Fair enough...its just that I keep hearing of problems with GPL and D
Monster Vll, and I know I had the same problems as these guys are
having. I stand corrected. The decree Nisi is forthcoming. |o)
