Rendition Ready?

Rendition Ready?

Picked up a copy of Papy's CART Racing (1998) marked "Rendition Ready" from
the bargain bin as a companion to my v. 1.0 ICR2...assuming the tracks might
come in handy for that GPL converter I am going have to buy one of these
times I have some free time!!  However, I can't see any difference in the
track files...I thought there would be 2 different versions of the track
files since people kept referring to needing the Rendition versions.  If
only the executable was changed, no one would need different track files....
What am I missing?

Thanks,

Marc.

On the CD there is a folder entitled "DOS" and in that is the rendition version
of the game.

Sorry...no go.  I had already checked every folder on the disk in case they
had hidden it somewhere :)   There is definitely not a DOS folder on this
CD-ROM or any other folder that has anything resembling tracks or
track-related data.  Any other ideas, anyone?

Marc.

You got one of the bastard cd's.  Go to Eagle Woman's site.  She has a
very comprehensive listing of the various ICR2/Cart racing cdroms.
You'll probably find your version listed in the don't buy category...
Possible Class Action Lawsuit??

Gee, now I really feel bad about using Papy's Daytona track in my N3 and
NL...ILLEGALLY!!!!

I just cannot believe the gall of some publishers...for this to be a known
issue and obviously nothing has been done about it.

Thanks for your help.

Marc.
