GPL sound problems

I`ve a soundblaster live and if i play GPL with sound accelartion on the
sound is really bad..?
If i turn it all the way down it still lags behind by a nano of a second..
im using xp and have tried various drivers..?

Any hints.

I'm getting the feeling that Soundblaster is not all its hyped up to be.
My SB PCI 128 gave me nothing but problems in my system..not only for
anything from Papy, but EA and XP apps as well.
I yanked it and went with the onboard 6 channel VIA ac'97 Enhanced Audio and
it seems to be working great. :-)
