GP2 : Linked play problem

by Phil Branfor » Wed, 19 Aug 1998 04:00:00

I have recently tried to compete with a friend using two computers linked
together with a serial cable.

I use a joystick to control the cars, however he has a steering wheel.

The problem is that when the two computers are linked, his steering wheel is
subject to frequent darts in one direction or another.  You can see it
happening in the calibration screen, and when we tried to play the game it
just kept forcing him to veer off the track.

Has anyone else seen such a problem?  Is there a patch to fix it?

Note that his steering wheel works just fine when the computers aren't
linked, and also that my joystick shows no such problem even when linked.

Many thanks for any help

Phil
