GP2: link data mismatch problem

by st.. » Thu, 13 Mar 1997 04:00:00

I get this message trying to link with another computer to play GP2:
"link data mismatch, press ESC to repair".  Pressing ESC does not
help.  I have used the editor and the other computer has not.  Could
this be the problem?

That was always the problem in GP1.  Which ever file was altered by
editing, I think it was  "f1gp.exe" , by the editor had to be used by
both machines to avoid data errors.  I assume you are experiencing the
same sort of error with GP2.  Certainly sounds like it.

Yes, that IS the problem.  Both GP.EXE files MUST match EXACTLY or you
will get the link mismatch error.
