MPS GP LINK DATA MISMATCH

by Stephen Battisso » Sat, 16 Dec 1995 04:00:00

I have just managed to get around to trying the linked game in GP.
The line connects and works fine till you go to the grid when an
error comes up saying link data mismatch.

Being new to modem usage I'm a little lost.  As far as I know I
have disabled data compression and error checking as instructed.
My modem is 14400 and my mates is 9600 but we both select 9600 in
the link options menu.

signiture is incorrect!)  Any help would be appreciated...I'm itching
to go racing!

Thanks in advance,
Steve

The Link Data Mismatch error has nothing to do with the modems.  The
reason this occurs is because your GP.EXE files are not EXACTLY the same
or you both used different options for the TSRs (GPLAP, GPPERF, etc).

I suggest to reload the game from scratch to ensure that the GP.EXE files
are the same.  Then you should use WCLaunch to make sure that they stay
the same.

You can get WCLaunch from http://www.mal.com/~dgymer.
