How do you know what version of gpl you have.
I know it is version 1.0 but I don't know which country it is, to be able to
upgrade it.

If you have to put the CD in the drive it is the UK version, if not it is
the US version.
Another way to check is to try to install the US patch, it will only let you
patch the US version.

check the properties of your gpl.exe, version tab.
