I've seen GPL sold as high as $49. and as low as $14.

Actually, I believe someone said that the Sierra Classics version has
a \Patch\ subdir on the CD where you can find the various patches that
can be applied to the game.  Certainly not an issue, though, as none
of the patches are that tremendously large to download.

I would appreciate it if some who has purchased the new "Classics"
release would corraborate this for me.

Its version 1 that you'll buy...  but you can get all the patches from
www.theuspits.com  and www.gplea.org

So, you have purchased the "Sierra Classics" release and there is no
\Patch\ subdirectory on the CD as was described by someone previously?
