I recently installed an Intergraph 3D 100 card and purchased Nascar 2.
However, I don't notice much difference in the graphics between
running N2.bat and Renddma.bat. Should there be a noticeable
difference? I have all the graphic options set to on in the game
setup. I have a pentium 100 (don't laugh) and 32Mb. Thanks,

Marc

The effects of bi-linear filtering should be readily apparent on all
the textures in the game.  One of the first places you'll notice it is
the first screen after you choose a race with the large picture of the
garage showing the rear of your car.

Try looking at the grass texture, or any other texture in the game.
There aren't any visible pixels under renddma and there are when running
N2.  This is bilinear texture filtering and this should really improve
the looks of the game.  Also, the frame rate under renddma should be
much better.

I also have a P100/32MB system and renddma makes a very significant
difference.

If you can't see much difference in the graphic quality, then
something's wrong with either the card, the settings within NASCAR or
you eyes.

Maybe it is me, but the differences in the graphics seem very subtle.
I guess I was expecting the jump between normal ICR2 and the bundled
version. Framerate though is very noticeable between n2 and renddma.

The differences between fully textured N2.BAT and fully textured
RENDDMA.BAT -are- subtle.  Just that pleasing blurring effect (bilinear
filtering?) that reduces blockiness.
I would have thought that your biggest graphical advantage, now that
you've gone rendition, is that you can switch those lovely textures on
:)

Have fun
