ICR2 vs Nascar 2 Graphic w/ Rendition

by Public Library Use » Sat, 02 Aug 1997 04:00:00

I have installed an Intergraph Rendition card on my computer and it seems
that the graphics on ICR2 are better than N2 as far as the refresh rate
is concerned. For instance in ICR2 at Michigan the stands stay consistent
around the whole track; however, at parts of Talladega particularly on
the front stretch the stands 'pop up' when you approach them. Is this the
way  it is or does N2 have a bug?

Also, I noticed that the graphics details on the cars aren't much better
with Rendition and I thought it was supposed to be better. I can simply
turn on more graphics details without suffering a loss of frame rate.

I think that at certain tracks in N2 that this is how it is programmed.
I think this was done to help keep the frame rate up with the added
graphics.

Unfortunately, Papyrus in their wisdom opted to not include
"anti-aliasing" with the Rendition port of N2.  This has been widely
requested, but don't expect to ever see it.

N2 Has no anti-aliasing as does ICR2-
Let Sierra/Papyrus know that they need to "patch" this!
