ICR2: Keyboard vs. mouse vs. joystick vs. T2

Fellows,

I am playing ICR2 on a Mac, so far I enjoy it. Although my driving
abilities seem to be weak. I trained cleveland for almost 5 hours last
week and my record is 1:11. Pretty bad, considering that the record is
under 1min.

I tried various settings but the handling only got worse than the default
fast or ace qualify settings.

Could the reason for my bad performance that I am using keyboard (and
automatic shifting)? Is a joystick _much_ better? Are the best times only
reachable with a steering wheel?

I have a t2 sterring wheel and a wingman joystick that I use. To tell
you the truth I'm a little faster with my joystick than the t2 sterring
wheel. But the sterring wheel makes the game feal that more realistic so
I try to run with it as much as I can. I got my T2 for $89.99 and my
wingman Joystick for $49.99.
