3D card question

by Schlom » Sat, 06 Feb 1999 04:00:00

Im thinking about a Diamond Monster Fusion Voodoo 16 Meg card.  Im mostly using
GPL, N2(soon to be N99 as well), GP2, NHL99, and LinksLS 99.  I was wondering
if this is a good choice or should i reconsider?  I have a P2 300mhz  96Mb Ram.
Im mostly interrested in getting GPL to run at 30-36 FPS (the others i just
want better graphics).  Thanks.

Hi...

Well, I love my Herc Thriller 8MB card... I'm getting 36 all the time in
training with almost everything on... and that's on a 233MMX overclocked
to 261 via a 75Mhz bus.

I really like it. My only *** "loves" are GPL and N2, so I just
wanted something that was supported by GPL and the upcoming N3. Other
games don't concern me at all, so Rendition was the way to go for me.

For those two sims, the Herc card is hard to beat.
