I know this one has been asked a lot, but what is a better all-around
card?  AGP or PCI?  Voodoo 3 or TNT 2?   Also, is the voodoo 3 3500 out yet?
How much will it cost?  Is it worth it?

I would see what type of video your highest priority apps/games prefer. The
cards you mentiioned are both excellent, just depends on your own needs. I'm
sticking with a thriller 8meg pci, makes GPL fly. When I absolutley have to
drive something that it won't run well, then I'll upgrade.

AGP if possible and either a TNT2 or a "top of the line" V3. However you
need to remember that V3 doesn't do 32-bit colour whereas the TNT2 does.
That said, I've heard that the image quality is about equal so it may be
a price issue if you're not worried about colour depth.

However, you could always pick up a TNT and a Voodoo 2 for about the same
cost as either of the above.

Choices Choices... :)

Best for current games. Voodoo 2 or 3. For future games, definately and
absolutely the TNT 2 Ultra. As for PCI and AGP..... AGP is the only way to go
for performance.

Facts are facts......The TNT 2 Ultra can do everything the Voodoo 3 can. The
Voodoo 3 will never do some of the things the TNT 2 can do and what future games
will support.

The only thorn in the side is the number of CURRENT games optimised for glide
rather than Direct X. Glide suport will diminish as the features of Direct X are
improved.
