Name a better modern F1 sim?  If this series is "plagued" then I'm immune to
its disease.  I certainly enjoy the enormous good things over the bad.  It
gets better every "edition" and I'm just happy a sim of this quality is
still being continually improved and produced at all for that matter.
Racing simulations are hardly thriving.

>> Jason, why don't you try the demo first, instead of just talking out of
>> your arse about it? ATM, you're just knocking ISI on the basis of what
>> they have done before rather than their current work. What kind of a

>> Well, you apparently!

>Actually, since I made that post I've given the demo a whirl.  It has
>the exact same controller problems as were present in their last 4
>"simulations" (SCGT, F1 2000, F1 2000 CS, F1 2001).  I also see that

>its direction of travel (I like that you can enter a turn literally
>sideways and the downforce still keeps your brakes from locking -
>assuming that's why the brakes never lock in this game)

You still have some ABS support. Using "Veteran" settings (or
something like that) isn't enough. You've to set it to "Off" manually.

About the downforce, today's computers aren't fast enough to handle a
real downforce calculation.

For the last 30 years I always laughted when someone drove a Skoda.
Guess what, I just ordered myself a new one.....

Yeah, it was quite difficult to tell in F12001 if you had fixed it or not.
It also gives you a better idea of how the sensitivity system works.

I like that you can enter a turn literally

Ahhh, poor chap has weak legs and can't get the brakes to get to full
power! ;O)  If you like I can pass on an excersise routine to help make
them stronger, as I have no problems in getting smoke from my tyres ... :O)
