Anyone have a GW2K 233 and N2?

by Dave Resinge » Fri, 14 Nov 1997 04:00:00

I have a GW2k G6-233 (with an STB Virge/GX 3D video card) and am running N2
fine in Win95. Didn't install it on this machine though; just copied from
old computer to this one. Only thing I remember when I first tried it was
that I couldn't use UniVBE, so followed the instructions in the README
file...

PROBLEMS WITH UniVBE
Not all video cards are compatible with UniVBE.  If the machine locks
up or acts strangely after running uvconfig, reboot the machine and delete
the univbe.drv and uvconfig.dat files in the NASCAR2 directory on your
hard drive.

Hope this helps.

am interested to know if anyone has a Gateway 233/266 and is running N2 in
Win95.  I have a G6-233 and I can't get the damn thing installed in Win95 and when I luck out and get it installed it won't run.  Runs like a mother in DOS
though.

Thanks
Eric

Basically the same problem for me with a GW2K 233. I run N2, ICR2, and my
favorite sim, GP2, in DOS using the DOS reboot icon from the desktop. I bought
SODA (WIN95 only) and can't get it to run properly at all. I also have been
unable to calibrate my T2 wheel/pedals under WIN95. Have you done this?
 Thanks, Chuck
