I second that...I've got a K6-233 with 64 meg of RAM and N2 runs great with
no slowdowns with all graphic detail on and drawing like 18-20 cars ahead. The
same goes for ICR2/CART Racing. I can't wait for the 3DFX patch for N2..it'll
make a great game even better. CPR also runs well with this configuration (and
a Monster 3D), but I'm not much for CART cars as they break too easy with me
driving. I'd much rather bang it out at Martinsville or Hickory in a stock car
instead of doing 230 at Michigan or California in a CART car.

ahh thats a shame, cuz while 230 is cool, some of the most fun comes doing 60 or less...remember cars can
turn right also!

Right? What's that? Road courses require much too much thinking for me. I
often have a hard enough time turning left, much less left AND right, so I
guess you could count me in the LTO crowd. I sometimes like driving at the
Glen in N2, but that's about it. If I play ICR2 or CPR, I run at ovals. To
each his own, I guess.

Mine runs N2 with everything on (everything, including 40 cars ahead
and behind) With virtually no slowdown at all (I have not been able to
notice any slowdown, it seems to run perfectly smooth) of course YMMV
system config:
K6-233
abit IT5H MB
96 Megs EDO Ram
ATI 3D Pro PC2TV W/ 4 megs
Win95-B

As for Cart, don't know, not my thing, cars are too fragile.

Good Luck

I have a K6 233 overclocked to 266mhz
32 meg Micron EDO simms
Ati 3d exp pc2tv video card.
ECCI CDS steering wheel.

Cart will run Ok.  Cannot go full graphics.
I run it at the Pentium 100 setting with the lease details.
But I prefer to run this sim with less detail and smoother refresh.

I believe a better video Card like the Viper V330 or Maybe the new Voodoo II
with make it fly.

still fly on a K6-200

I've got a K6-166, overclocked to 187.5 (75 MHz bus x 2.5), and NASCAR2
runs great with all textures on. Only problem is I can't get Windows 95
to recognize the Thrustmaster T2 wheel, although DOS does.

Are you properly setting up your wheel in Win95 via the control panel?
You might want to try using Thrustmaster's ProPanel applet.  Make sure
that the T2 is set as device ID #1.  You can get ProPanel at:
ftp://208.129.210.78/pub/library/propanel.exe

Just built my new PC with Aopen MB & AMD K6 233 O/C to 3x83mhz (250mhz)

N2 Nasrend runs great - the improvement in GP2 is unbelievable. Can't get
ICR2 Indyfast or Indysafe to work yet.

Cheers

Steve
