Online Nascar 2003 outside the USA???

by Ste4pl » Mon, 19 May 2003 02:35:10

Hi All,
After years of frustrasion racing AI cars, Ive finally got broadband and
was hoping to race online but it seems all the servers are in the USA, when i
join a race the conection is ok for practise, but when i leave practise often
my ping/quality go sky high so if i attempt to qualify its too high to
race...OK so im new to online racing and starting from the back of the grid
isnt such a bad thing at least it gets all the 1st lap wreckers out the way,
but cars dancing all over the place and vanishing and reapearing make life a
bit difficult to say the least and i dont wanna ruin a race for guys who have
decent connections.
Is there anyone here who succesfully races online from outside the US
preferably in the UK who can give me any tips or any servers with clean drivers
based over here.

                   TIA ...

I would say it's your connection.  I know of at least one person (Pez)
from the UK area that uses dial-up and races US servers with little/no
problems.  If possible, try another ISP.  Good Luck.

Well, another ISP may be a bit extreme right off the bat.  Depending on your
operating system, you may want to see if you can tweak it for gameplay, also
make sure you close out of as many background programs as possible.  That
would be a good start, see if the connection improves.

1 - You should have no problems connecting to the US.

2 - There are UK based leagues that you can try, like ours ;-) (ASCAR based,
using N2003)
