Well, how did the race go? Who won and who is pissed off and why? Start

One of the faster guys won... no surprises there. That last green stint was
too short for me to reel you back in. You were pretty good on new tyres
there Eldred... kudos.

I spent 12 hours moving furntiture, rippinging up old carpet and
padding, removing about 10 sq feet of cermaic tile (that took 3 hours
all by itself), and we're a little more than half-way through with
laying 600 sq feet of laminate wood flooring.

Believe me when I say I'd rather be racing...

Whew...  I need to put down some tile in my ba***t, but it will be the
standard vinyl stuff.  I couldn't afford the wood laminate...
I'm sure that even THAT will be a chore.

Well, it was alright really. Guys this side of the pond were all
experiencing bad quality and quite some position warping occurred (I must
have been hopping about quite a bit).

It went relatively green (just 5 cautions again). I got involved in some of
the action but, possibly because I really was warping this time, I didn't
receive any terminal damage. I misjudged Dan O'Brien (Bamadano)'s position
badly after he'd been involved in an incident and T-Boned him hard. I'm
sorry about that, my fault entirely. Especially after getting a bit terse
with him after we got together avoiding an earlier incident. Which just goes
to show a little tolerance goes a long way towards not ending up with egg on
your face.<g>

Another instance had nearly the entire field involved. Kyle Roberts got into
a bit of a huff about it, but I don't know what really happened and I think
most of the other drivers haven't a clue either. Things just stacked up and
people had nowhere to go. Gonna have to piece that one together with the aid
of the server replay.

Had a couple of relatively good dices with Steve Brunt, who seemed slow
winding up, but was ok and even faster than me once he got going. What was
going on there Steve?

Anyhow, like I said, 't was alright Craig. Too bad you had to leave.

I had a pretty decent race up until an incident near the end (probably the
last caution). My car had gone head on into the wall and the crew said
something about an engine problem. It must have improved the handling too as
I could go almost flat out through the corners at the end :) Some good
racing along the way.

My connection was sort of bad. My Q's were low. I had an early warp
accidents when someone passed me. After that the engine wouldn't pull.
I pitted and it took 3 laps to fix. I quit not to long after that. I
think I was 5-6 laps down by that point,

I'm not sure what was going on there.  Other leagues had connection issues as
well yesterday.  I guess the students are killing our network this week.  There
must be some new band CD or movie out, and KaZaa is ruling the network... :-(

We experienced connection issues in our league on Friday night as well,
quality in general seemed to be lower than normal for most drivers.

I was far from a huff. One comment at the heat of the moment followed up
with a "No problem" to the other driver. That will happen when you are spun
twice in less than 5 laps.

I needed to be gotten terse with on that 1st incident. The yellow was out and I
didn't slow nearly enough and ran over you Jan. Entirely my fault and I really
feel bad about that one. My apologies again. As for the T-boning....my car was
alreay dead. I was just kinda cruising through turn 4 trying not to get into
the back of (Eldred I think) when I got punted by 99 into the wall killing the
motor. Sorry you got caught up in that one too. Glad this is just a sim or I
would be at the big red truck for that boneheaded under yellow accident. :(

I had a good time.  My goal going in was to save *** but the yellows we
did have seemed to be at the wrong time for me to get an advantage.  DGF did
an early stop just before the yellow came out which really surprised me
cause my RF hadnt even been in the yellow all to long.

I was right up front when we had the slowdown and Im not real sure why Tim
and Brian slowed so drastically.  I nearly clipped Tim in the process.  Im
no fan of racing back to the yellow anyway but I sure will if thats the
deal.

It was a warpy all race.  Tim was making a pass low for 2nd but I prolly
pinched a little more than I shoulda.  He warped up into me and I hit the
wall pretty hard but flush so damage was minimized.  The car was never the
same though, unfortunately.

First, I'm real sorry we slowed up like that.  With last years racing Brian and I have pretty much gotten used to each other trying
to give laps back.  I can really trust him when we are running so close together.

In any other league, where you run for points, I'd say***it; if your right there with me fine, otherwise, maybe next caution.

But RASCAR is about give and take, or I thought, until Brian and I got snookered by 3-5th place racing back to a yellow with the
lapped cars and put us both back.

One thing I like about RASCAR is that there are very few rules, and most things are left up to the sim, and the concern racers at
RASCAR have for clean, fun racing.

I can't speak for anyone else, but in the future I will probably work a lot less on giving laps back.  This isn't to slight anyone,
and I've been given laps back as well, but I don't know what else to do other than not allow passing with lead lap cars when the
caution comes out until 10 to go.

Even still, there are lapped cars who race the leaders with less than 10 to go, and possibly altering the outcome, and no one seems
to be concerned about that.

So, accept my apologies for slowing up like that, or not in the future, and hopefully I can do better.  And also accept my apologies
for punting lapped cars with 5 to go. :)

Second, the warping surely caused you to wreck Mitch.  I saw you there, and you were nowhere near pinching me down, even if you were
close, you gave me plenty of room.  I 100% feel if the connections had been normal there would have been no problem.

Now, if I can figure out how Brian can drive that setup so fast on fresh tires, I'll be a happy camper. :)
