You mention in your review that these pedals are not suitable for racing games.
-But-, then you specifically mention that they are 'appropriate' for NFS*,
Midtown Madness, etc., and give them a 95% rating.
This is a racing sim newsgroup. How in the world could these be
'appropriate' for a racing game/sim?
:)
Here's a picture of the (rudder) pedals, for the curious:

The Simped-vario pedals are marketed as both flight and racing pedals by the
manufacturer. The "appropriate for" section of the review is described as
"game types the controller was designed for". Dieter Hofmann designed the
pedals for use as both racing and flight pedals.
The overall rating given to the pedals was not a 95% but a 89% with a very
specific statement "...but not recommended for the serious auto race fan".
As flight control pedals they are far superior than anything out there. If
marketed as purely flight pedals the performance rating would have been much
higher. The fact that they are marketed as either/or brought the
performance (and overall) rating down. They function very accurately as
racing pedals but do not offer realistic movement.
I invite you to re-read the review and testing criteria. I stand by the
review and its final rating. I post notices of the reviews that are related
to auto sims for products both good and bad. This product is bad for racing
but great for other purposes.
