Help with Nascar 3 freeze up

I have pulled nascar 3 back out and installed it but every time I run it
the screen will freeze. I have tried it with my VooDoo 3 3500 and my new
Geforce2 AsusV7700. I have also installed the patch. I have a
soundblaster live running DX8 256k memory. Is it me or Nascar 3.
