Act-Labs Brake Spring Broke ;/ help me find a replacement

by afro » Mon, 11 Aug 2003 14:36:14

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could find a
replacement spring for my act-labs brake.  It recently snapped in half and I
need to locate a replacement.  I know I can buy them off Act-labs website,
but $6 is kind of rediculouis for springs, I was hoping some of you had some
ideas because I am sure this happens frequently with people.

Thanks!

FYI: Forgot to mention I have the classic Force RS pedals (just brake and
gas).  And I have had the pedals for over a year so my warranty is out.

I'v tried locating the replacement springs from this site:

http://karkrazy.m4driving.sm/

but can't find them anywhere.

thanks again

Do as i did and others have done.

Take your spring to a local DIY store, and find a stronger better one.

You will then get about 20 springs for $6...and they wont break.

There is a Home Depot and Lowes Hardware around here, do these shops have
the springs?  I went to Lowes the other night, looked around and could not
find anything close to the original spring.  There is also a rural king
around here too.

Any suggestions?

Thnx
