Act Labs Force RS wheel found, but not used

Here's a question for the tech guys.  (I know
you're here. <g>)

I have an Act Labs Force RS wheel that works great
with all my Windows racing sims.  Except one: Ford
Racing.  Here's the puzzler.  It worked fine with
Ford Racing until very recently.  Now, though FR
can identify the FRS wheel, there is no response
to input from the wheel or the pedals.  Instead,
the car takes off at top speed into the nearest
left obstacle.

I'm using DirectX 8.0a and the latest Act Labs
drivers in Win98 SE.

Jokes about FR aside, anyone know what might be
keeping the wheel from sending input to the title?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Give it up, Mr. Lipid -- you're not going to "out" any Ford Racing
fans around these parts!

;-)

FWIW, did you calibrate in Windows and then try to assign things in
the game?  Also, did you try combined AND separate axis for the brake
and throttle?  I'm not sure if FR supports split-axis or not.

Just something to think about -- TTYL!
