Don't wait, get the Ultimate Per4mer FF wheel - it is superb! The iForce2
effects in POD and F1RS new patches are really cool!

Act Labs Force RS wheel

I had been waiting for the Actlab wheel too, partly because it looked like
great features for the price, and also 'cause it's a Canadian company (can't
hurt to buy Canadian, eh?) Problem is, I don't know if they're ever planning on
*actually* selling a wheel; I first looked into it nearly 6 months ago, and it
was scheduled to ship in 2 months. I called last week; it's now scheduled to
ship in about 2 months. They also don't answer any of their email (yeah, I
know, what company does), and rarely does anyone answer the phone (took me over
a week to get a human). Made me wonder if the company had gone belly up.
Anyway, if they ever do ship I guess they won't be shipping one to me - I got
tired of trying to use my well past it's prime Ultimate Per4mer (the pots went
to shit in about 2 months - it's now totally useless, in case anyone would like
to buy it). Note, this is the non-FF wheel - I have no idea about the FF
Per4mer.

Anyway, I bought a Thrustmaster Nascar Pro - hate that it has thumb buttons and
a shifter instead of either paddle shifters or at least buttons under the index
fingers, and the feel of the buttons is pretty stiff (I use them for shifting
and ignore the shifter altogether), the steering feel is fairly good and
reasonably precise, and the pedals are pretty decent as well, although I'll be
damned if I can figure out why they made the brake pedal effort about 6 times
that of the accelerator - the base keeps popping up in the air when I try to
brake. All in all, a useable wheel, I just hope it lasts for a while.

Barry

No offence Barry but when I emailed Actlabs (from here in the UK) I had an
email reply (with an apology for being late) within 10 days.

I just read in a German games mag in a news byte that it's supposed to
be available in June... take it with a big grain of salt! ;^)
