My CPR beta-Patch Results...

I didn't spend alot of time evaluating everything the beta-patch did,
but I still seem to have a "null-zone" problem.  I can tell the
null-zone adjustment is working for the steering, which is nice now, but
I am still having a problem where if I stop and put the car in neutral
and not apply any gas or brake, the engine revs max out and the tires
just sit there and chatter.  Is anyone else having this problem?

p.s. I did notice a frame rate increase as well!

Neutral works for me.  When I put it it neutral, the revs slowly go down and
the engine just idles.  Are you sure you have your accelerator calibrated
correctly so that you have no acceleration input when you're off the
accelerator?

You  need to re-calibrate. Pump the brake and gas at least four times. I
probably only did it twice before. Once I did that, the throttle smoothed
out and made a significant improvement in the handling.

Sorry dude, if it were that simple I think I would have figured it out.
Anyway, I tried your solution by pumping and turning at least 10 times and it
still does the same thing.

Try pushing the gas while you are in neutral, then come back and tell
it's "fine".

Cheers!

I'm aware of the car behavior when the gas is pressed in neutral, which is
why I suggested recalibrating the accelerator so that there would be no gas
input while in neutral.  I suspect this bug is a low priority anyway.  Who
cares what the car does while the accelerator is pressed in neutral.  This
has zero affect on gameplay.

Of course what you say is true. But I think it's just one of those
annoying things to remind us how little time/effort was put into
finishing this game off properly. I wish it was the games only flaw.
