Papy may have found the problem with the patch

From the eagle womens site

<snip>
Unfortunately, the GPL 1.1 patch has proved problematic for some users.
Reacting immediately, Papyrus has isolated a bug which they believe was
responsible for assorted difficulties, including inaccurate lap times and
lowered frame rates offline, and varying frame rates, increased tendency to
disconnect, increased warping, and certain other problems in online racing.
A fix for this bug has been found, and work continues on fixing another bug
which caused some drivers to get no lap times when racing online, along with
certain other anomalies.

Temporary workarounds for many of these difficulties can be found in the GPL
1.1 FAQ at VROC. I will keep you posted with news of any new releases.

Cool lets hope they get it to work :)

Lets give them time then people please, don't get yourselves worked up
waiting for it like we all did with the initial 1.1 patch.

Papy - take the time to get it 100%, our faith is still with you, I
personally don't have a problem with 1.1, but it has to be sorted.

Patience.

I'm with you on this one Tim...  (except i have a problem or 2  lol )
Papyrus know of the associated problems that were introduced with the
1.1 patch, now we all owe it to them to give them a chance to sort it
out.
It looks like the problems will be sorted out soon, according to the
Faq at Alisons site,  so we will soon be enjoying good on-line racing
again,  even from Australia..  :))
So let's all show a bit of patience,  if i can, anyone can.  <G>
Cheers,
Ron

Yes, Thank you Tim.  We should give them some time to repair the patch.

Hehe, usually we're the ones trying to calm you down, now the shoe is on
the other foot  :-)

Thank you, Tim, for your preventative injection of sanity into what
usually becomes a nut farm.  Yes, we should wait patiently because they
will issue it when they believe it is right and they are ready.  Again,
thanks.

Well ya know, I'm not insane all the time, sometimes the guys in the white
coats give me the calm medicine.
