Pentium Overdrive and T2 Wheel question

by Tim Henni » Tue, 28 May 1996 04:00:00

Alright, I have the option of upgrading my 486/33 to either a Pentium
486/83 (overdrive) or a 486DX4/100.  Which one has more bang for the buck?
Oh, and is $129 a good price for the T2 wheel w/ pedals?

                           Thanx!

Well if you really want to get the most bang for the buck, you should look into
replacing your motherboard and CPU.  Right now you can get a Intel Zappa or
Endeavor with a P120 CPU for about $400-450.  They are PCI boards, so you might
have to replace your video card if it isn't already a PCI model.  Alternatively you
could use the Atlantis MB which comes with a built in SB16 and ATI Mach64 video
chip for about $200 more.

They used to have it a Circuit City for $99, but $129 isn't too bad.
