N4 Multiplayer question

by Brian Summer » Thu, 17 May 2001 12:17:24

How do I race one of the actual Winston cup cars in multiplayer?    I have
seen a few when racing on line.  I downloaded the car set from the pitwagon.
What is the trick?

Thanks

Hi Brian,

AFAIK this is not possible! The problems are the licenses with the Nascar
series...

Don't know if this is possible. Maybe, if you choose a car file which is given
to a real driver, you will be shown in this one, but I'm not sure...

Oh its very possible, but does require a little messing around.  Its pretty
simple really all you have to do is first right down the exact file name of
the car you wan to use the way it came from sierra. Then start N4 go into
the paint shop and export both the pit crew and car paint jobs. Then exit n4
and delete the original car file from the cars folder. restart N4 and create
a new driver and name the file exactly the way it was originally and set the
correct car make. Make sure drivers name is exactly the same as well. Once
the car file has been created go back in to the paint shop and import back
in the pit crew and paint jobs you originally exported.  Not hard just a
PITA.
