Is it just me or is it impossible to get a gold medal on the driving school
section of the game.

Even with the first sector at Monza, after hours of trying I am still
4/10ths down on getting the gold. I cant see how it is possible to find
4/10ths in 1 corner.

Any ideas?

Tadaaaaa so I'm not the only one.. Just for a test, give the driving
school at Hockenheim a go. At all sectors it took me only 2-3 tries to
beat the gold time, while I can't get a gold medal at the first
section of monza no matter how hard I try.

I wonder if it could be controller-setup related?

It was for me, not saying that I can get the gold, but I had a hard time
even passing, until i recalibrated my controller(Formula Force GP)

I was able to achieve a gold star in sector 1 at Silverstone in the Arrows
two-seater.  Wasn't easy either - the maggots-becketts complex is quite
tricky full-out in 6th gear.  I get alot of understeer into chapel but i
have managed a 26.4 in the sector.

The real problem is the training cars - they are so slow and difficult to
handle.  I would have no problem doing a 26.0 in the Ferrari or Williams
over sector 1, but those two seaters take you to the edge.

I find repeated test days at each circuit to be the best practice.  I can
now race silverstone with my eyes closed.
