F1 2002 - Validity of hot lap submissions with driving aids?

How can there be any consistant reference point in the new hot lap
submissions when all aids are allowed?, I agree with maybe autogears,
traction control & clutch but all the others are ridiculous!!

Whats the opinion of the hardened hotlappers here?

Well, I'm very disappointed in EA's online ranking system - here's why...

1.  No overall rank - a real shame and a disincentive to bother with all of
the tracks.

2. They really should have seperate tables for people using things like
steering help and stability help as you pointed out.  I can see why EA
weren't keen to discriminate against keyboard and joystick players though...

3. Very hard to find the page where to register!  Need more links and they
should have had a link in the telemetry.

4. Too much information on the ranking pages - one of the joys of hotlapping
is seeing your name 'up in lights' and it's meaningless when your name is in
small print surrounded by clutter.

Luckily, it's possible that they can improve the web site without affecting
the game, so let's hope they do...it looks like a very rushed job ATM...

I heard its under construction, and not really finished yet, so.

From what i heard it will be a different rank for each level of aids.
So if someone uses steeringhelp, etc, then you wont see him in the
expert-level.

That's very comforting - should have more faith, shouldn't I...

with all aids on
