F1 2002: Question on Uploading Laps

by Alan Bernard » Sun, 30 Jun 2002 08:01:13

Folks,

A simple question: when checking laps for authenticity, I always find I
don't quite make it.  Is curb touching allowed?  Doesn't seem like it is.

Hopefully this page will explain how/where/why you can or cannot cross
over the curbs...

F1 2002: Question on Uploading Laps

Dave,

Thanks for the info.  But EA's lap submission must be different.  I
understand that the key is the centerline of the car, in that when going
over a curb you cannot have more of the curb accross the centerline.

But when lapping in F1 2002 I know for a fact that I'm not that far over on
the curbs, but yet it shows that I am, on nearly all the curbs.  I will have
to grab a replay from the EA site and see what is going on.

Thanks for the help,

Alanb

Well, I was doing things wrong.  I thought that once you "checked" the lap,
if it didn't give you the option to upload,  then there were things wrong.
That's not the case.  My laps passed, as I thought they would, not having
gone over the centerline.

Thanks again,

Alanb
