Help increasing frame rates

Did your hardware run NASCAR 1 ok ?  Also, game port and sound board may
help someone identify your problem.  My P120 did not run NASCAR 2 very well
either - but the frame rates were much higher than 10fps with all graphics
except car textures off.  But they were not 30fps either.  With a P200 - I
can enable car textures, grand stands, fencing and infield vehicles and get
near 30fps even in traffic.  This is using a Stealth VRAM adapter.

Good luck!  It is most definitely a frustrating problem.  /THansen

I am getting very low farme rates (7-10) in Nascar2. I am running a Compaq
XL 6150 150 mhz pentium, 32 meg memory, 4 meg Matrox Millennium powerdesk
PCI (hardware version 001, driver mgapdx64.dll ver 2.20.031), Windows95. I
did a full install under windows95, I have tried running the game from DOS
with nascar2, and N2 and have tried the same under windows95, I did
install the univbe driver but I did not see any improvements. If anyone
has any suggestions please let me know. I have been looking forward to
this game for quite a while and now it's too slow to play.

This is strange. I just installed N2 & a T2 on my P5-133, 32MB EDOram and
2MB EDO video card. I can run all details maxed, 12 cars in front, 4 behind
and 4 car engine sounds. Framerate is between 15-20fps in SVGA. I cannot explain
why you get such poor performance...
