To be honest, I'm not sure how I'm going to last the whole race due to the
"washing machine" effect of that track. Maybe I'll take some motion sickness
pills before the race starts. :-)

I guess.

So it's Saturday, 4pm EST (practice begins for half an hour??)

50% Bristol and maybe 25% WG (23 laps with half hour of practice)?

Fixed <fast> setup.

Realistic damage.

What about yellows?

I hope we can get to some tracks in following weeks where we can open the
throttle and let loose.

With the quali setup I can do 1:15, but some people I know drive 1:14
easily :-/
During races I'm much slower, 1:17 laps or so, otherwise my tires
won't last more than 5 laps :)

Depends on the weather.

On sierra.com, with up to 25% racelength, at 70o you'll see low 15's in Q
and between mid 15's and high 16's in the R. At ~87o, you'll probably see
medium-high 1:15's in Q and high 15's to high 16's in R. These times are
valid for the fixed Papy setup. With custom setups, times will be up to a
second faster I'd guess.

Hotlaps I don't know, my personal best is a 1:13.

ZZ!!!

It's "ras".

I was on for a bit when bristol was up but had to leave at about 7:15
eastern.  Turned a 117.395 mph lap (0:16.114 I think).  I was the only
one there when I left.

If We Have Another R.a.s./N2002 Race This Weekend.....

That's unreal... I just went 1m19.4s in a race against the AI (default fast
setup), and, seeing as I struggle to keep up with the 85% AI on most tracks
and I totally obliterated them here(*)(**), I felt quite good about that.
Until I read this part of the thread, that is. ;-(

Car felt really good as well... can't think of anything that would make it
significantly quicker (not that I consider myself qualified to set up a
stock car yet, but still).

Oh well... I'll s***with Eldred and Dave.<vwg>

Jan.
=---
(*): thanks, in part, to your FF advice.
(**): was within 2 car lenghts of lapping the field when a yellow was
thrown... coincidence? ;-)
