Has anyone managed to get GPL working with a Matrox G400 card? I've tried
the unified drivers and the latest drivers, I've tried both OpenGL patches
and I've tried software and OpenGL mode but in all cases it refuses to
initialise. HELP!! I'm getting withdrawal symptoms.

Sorry, best solution is to get a Voodoo 2 in addition to your G400.
I myself have a Voodoo 3 2000 PCI and "upgraded" to a G400 when I bought
myself a new computer. End result: pulled out the Voodoo 3 from the old
box and never uses the G400.

The trouble is, Matrox says  you can't use another 3D card with a G400.

Sounds strange. I would think that the G400 wouldn't even need to know
that the V2 existed. Maybe they were thinking of another D3D or OpenGL
card?

Since I don't have a V2 myself I can't say for certain that it will
work. I would be surprised if it didn't though.

Then make a search on V2 with G400 or something... I remember a post
