I need help with STB Velocity 128..and N2

by Xpatr » Sat, 17 Jan 1998 04:00:00

I have a Dell P2 300, with 64 MB SDRAM, with a STB velocity 128.  When playing
N2 the frame rate is fantastic, even with everything on....But the quality of
the video display is very poor...it is very "grainy" to the point of causing
eye strain after about 5 or 10 minutes.  I can get a better quality picture
(but not an acceptable frame rate) with my old Gateway 486 DX 250 when running
N1 using
v vesa.  I called Dell and they said my graphics card is too advanced for
N2????
Has anyone out there had or heard of a simular problem between STB Velocity and
N2, and if so, is there a solution???  Am I going to have to get a different
video card????  Thanks

Dunno how relevant it is but I have a PCI Viper 330 (same chipset)
and it runs ICR2 just fine. Are you running Nas 2 thru Win or dos?
Saying your card is too advanced for N2 is a load of ***I'd say - or a
poor testament to AGP compatability (hope not).
