SCGT - 2 more questions

by Phil Le » Mon, 10 Apr 2000 04:00:00

Following my previous post yesterday I have been driveing SCGT some more and
definitely getting into it.  Anyway, I have two more questions which someone
out there may be able to answer.

Firstly, if I get the AI to drive the car after a pit stop, how do I get the
AI to come back into the pits so that I can take over again?

Secondly, what is bi-linear filtering, an option which is toggled with one
of the number keys?

Cheers

Phil

I believe alt-a or shift-a brings the co-driver back in.
Technically I can't tell you what bi-linear filtering is but I will tell
you, if you put it on, and then go and watch the cars, expecially close
up, you will definately see the polygons underneath the textures.  I
tried it, then turned it off.

There must be a problem somewhere. Bi-linear filtering should make a
pretty big improvement to just about any game. Maybe it's video card
driver related. I have this game and it looks rather nice with the
filtering turned on. Video card used is a V3.
I might be mistaken but could you be confusing turning on filtering
with turning on the mip mapping options? I definitely noticed a
problem when they where turned on, like what you describe, and
switched them back off right away.
