Cost aside - ECCI or TSW?

Cost aside - ECCI or TSW?

Is a ECCI worth the even greater cost than the TSW? Also, there appears to
be a lot of mention of TSW by the N3 community over on the Sierra forums.
How about the F1 community, is the TSW as popular

Is the ECCI worth the extra cost over a TSW?

Also, there seems to be a lot of the N3 community using TSW (from what I see
over at the Sierra forum), are the F1 community also using this wheel?  It
seems the GPL racers are always talking about LWFF, Act Labs and such.

Like, one time at bandcamp...

Just get one of the FF wheels... Logitech, Guillemot or Act Labs, all great
wheels... I have a Guillemot and a TSW Sport, I prefer my Guillemot over the
TSW all the time... TSW and ECCI wheels are just ways to overpriced, over
500 dollars for a wheel without FF? The FF wheels connect through USB which
is faster and more accurate as the gameport on my SB Live! If I look at my
TSW I really don't understand what makes it so expensive... I harldy has any
nice features (like FF yes and others). An upgrade for the TSW wheel (like
extra buttons, split axis etc. are criminally expensive, 150 f**king dollars
for 2 wires and a button? If you create it yourself you will be done for 1
dollar...

These TSW and ECCI wheels are a dying race...FF wheels are getting better
and cheaper. Then again... Logitech or Guillemot needs to sell 15 wheels to
get the same profit as TSW or ECCI do when selling one 'wheel' (read:
scraped togheter Radio Shack parts).

Onr review I saw said the steering was about equal and the ecci pedals
were better.  I have a tsw2 modified and luv it.  It is very close to
perfect.  I dont know if you can get a stick shifter on the ecci.  Of
course if you use paddles, that wont matter.

I'll take my TSW ANY day over a FF wheel.  It's built alot better, and far more
precise.  Plus the guys at Thomas Enterprises, are great if you have any
questions.  I'm sure the ECCI's are the same way.

An ECCI?  "Scraped together" from Radio Shack parts?!

ROTFLMAO!!

I can't speak to the TSW, but I own an ECCI.  The thing was designed and built
from the ground up.  The mechanical parts seem to have been machined to airplane
tolerances, and the electronic parts are strictly first-class.  As a whole, the
unit is a thing of beauty and virtually bulletproof.  It ougghta be in a design
museum somewhere.

Is it overpriced?  Depends on what you like to spend your money on.  My only
regret about buying the ECCI  is that my significant other -- I'm afraid she has
little appreciation for sim racing  hardware -- won't let me display it behind
glass under soft light when it's not in use.
