If I were buying a Processor today (which I'm not.. But I will come
november ;P)

I would definately get the T-Bird, with an Asus A7V MB.
It costs a lot less than the P3. Equals or betters Intel in many
benchmarks.

And the T-Bird  is easily overclockable (with the Asus board)

AMD thunderbird is a piece of gold.

i've got an Athlon 800Mhz (first generation not T-bird)
No compatibility problem
No heat trouble
Best FPU (great quake3 engine)
Low cost.

really good choice according to me !

tchao!

why Asus A7V Motherboard? What it has better than MSI K7T?
I'm also buying similar computer but have not yet desided whether A7V is
worth of extra money. So if you could explain what makes A7V so good?
www.asus.com vs. www.msi.com.tw doesn't really tell too much.
