Cyrix, Intel, IBM, AMD... which one for GP2?

Hi,
I plan to upgrade my PC to Pentium 150/166Mhz machine.
Which processor (Cyrix, IBM, Intel, AMD) should I choose?

I want to buy Cyrix 166 based machine, but how it will perform (GP2, Indycar2)
via Intel Pentium Pro 166 machine?

Hello,
This is very hard for me to swallow, but get the damn Intel....  The
cyrix has the potential to be great, but without the help of the
software developers the cyrix seems to just***everyone off with
errors.
The cyrix is the better deal and overall performer, but it seems that
when developers write code they can not seem to equip their offices
with at least one cyrix machine to check their code on :(
It seems if one wishes to have the most fun and least trouble with
ones computer putting "Intel Inside" is the safest bet. The Intels are
great and  overpriced, I am going to give the ***s some more of my
money :(
I will just have to hold my nose and think of what might have been.

I recently upgraded to a Cyrix P166, and the benefit varies
from program to program (probably according to how much floating
point is used). The good news is that GP2 gave about the best
improvement I saw, and seems to run better than on my Intel 166
at work (a technical evaluation for professional reasons, of course).

I haven't really used ICR2 much, but I did try it, and as best I can
remember it goes pretty well on the Cyrix.

Regards,
James.
