8meg card there is no problem.
The screen stops updating but you still get sound. We have tried just about
every driver and patch.
Can you limit the memory to 8meg? Selecting it in the control panel does not
help.
Thanks,
Scott

12 meg in V2 is definitely not the problem. Earlier there was some
textureproblems on creatives 12 meg but not anymore. Suggest you try solving
this problem from diff aspect. Reducing the memory to 8 doesnt get your
friend anywhere.

The problem is not the memory, it's the heat. Go and get some extra
cooling for the Voodoo and the lockups will be history. Or underclock
the card to 80 MHz, this won't do a too big performance hit but prevent
the card from overheating & locking up.
Bye!

Scott,
I totally agree with Joachim. I too have a Diamond V2-12MB which showed the same
problem. overheating is definitely the problem!! I bought a cheap case-fan (app.
US$5,=) and took care that the diamond card was next to an empty slot (of which I
removed the case-lid (don't know if that's the correct name though) to get an
good air-flow alongside the card) which solved the freezing problem. Please try
it, it definitely works!
