It was the 2nd most boring race I've ever seen after last weeks F1 race. At
least in CART and NASCAR you kmow there will be e***ment somewhere in the
race.

It's amazing to me that die-hard Papy fans yearn for that company to produce
a modern day F1 sim. With the chicaned-up tracks and absence of overtaking
it's become as unthrilling as European football. And F1 will still not
authorize internet play.....

Have you seen the qualifying order for Today's CART race?  You do NOT want
to miss the first turn...I predict mayhem as the fast-movers try to overcome
their rainsoaked qualifying posistions.

Hmm, I thought it was quite exciting actually, until Montoya's car
blew up. Some very good fights down the order between
Kaikkonen/Frenzen, Irvine/Frenzen, Raikkonen/Panis and
Coulthard/Barichello in the end. Digital 7 channel feed helps
though, it would probably be very boring on world feed.

And it is a chance of rain too. Be sure to sit in front of the TV in
one hour and 15 minutes! 19.00 CET. Can't wait.

While there ARE indeed some who ask for a modern Papy F1 sim, & I agree
why?  With so  many others out there...I think the main thrust of requests
here have been for a late 70's or early 80's F1 era.  That would provide us
with the big horsepower/high downforce cars and the non-chicaned tracks in
most instances.

Speedvision showed just a few moments of a ghostcar camera where they
super-imposed the Ferrari and Williams....it was interesting to see how both
made time at different corners.
TV Rallye coverage has always been very constrained by the nature of the
competition....I would think some sort of similar camera majickery would
greatly benefit the Rallye series.

What we really need is a modern F1 pitcrew simulator--to get us where the
action *really* is!

Don't laugh...I believe there is an attempt at such a program being made.
Imagine using the Quake III engine to enable a multiplayer event where you
and your fellow teammmates join together to play the roles of the pit crew.

<yawn>

Now this is boring.

A bunch of old guys constantly pining for the old days when the old drivers
drove the old circuits in the old cars.
