Hi Guys,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks Damien, but what I had was that you could not lock the brakes up at
any speed or conditions - just like ABS in the car. I could come into a
corner slam the brakes and the car would spill follow an arc around a corner
instead of spearing straight of the track.
On advice from some of the earlier posters I started fiddling with the
'aids' options to see what effect they had (even though I already had ABS =
OFF). I managed to trace it down to the 'stability' option - if you have it
set on anything else but OFF then the ABS is ON as well (even though the
menu does not show it). It does not matter if you set the 'stability' on
'low' or 'high' as either option has got the ABS fully switched ON ... I
spent the last 2 hours trying it (and other option).
So I had to switch the stability to OFF and locking-up brakes is now easy
... seems like I'm locking up fairly often now and I'm happy with that as it
now comes up to me to brae late into corners. Though, I'm not happy with the
way the car/game feels with the 'stability' switched OFF as not touching the
ripple-strips is a game of pot-luck. By that I mean that I have no feedback
on when the car is going to step out when on the curbs ... sometimes it does
not and sometimes it takes me for a 360. I was not enjoying the game much
like this as I felt like there was no feedback at all and that I have no way
of learning to catch these spins ... all I can do is not touch the
ripple-strips or go slower. Neither option appeals to me.so I switched on
the 'opposite lock assist' and even though I have knowing that the game is
assisting my opposite-lock, it does feel better when driving as I feel like
there is a slight moment of 'progression' when the car is about to lets go
and I can actually respond. I spill spin often but I do feel like I knew
that the spin was going to come and that makes a difference to me. I don't
mind spinning if I 'felt' the spin coming and just did not
correct/compensate well enough.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

I think it's not really the brakes but the amount of down-force at high
speeds that makes the brakes harder to lock-up - there is just so much grip
with all that downforce and that results to more grip for the tyres.
Though, either way, now I can brake the way you described above and that
makes the experience so much for satisfying and enjoyable.
Thanks again.
