I've got everything turned off but the car and wall textures. It's

I run car textures, skid marks/paint, smoke/dirt, 38 car fields, 8 cars in
front, 4 in rear, 4 heard, and almost everything else on auto, but with
the minimum frame rate at 30fps, and it runs really very smoothly, with
only a slight slow down in the big crashes. I found that the one detail
that you will gain the most from turning off, is the track texture. By
the way, my system is a dx2/66, with 8 megs of ram, and a cheap 1 meg vram
trident video card. --
