Sound Problem in GPL

I am having a problem with the sound in GPL 1103.When I start the game it
sounds fine,I have installed the patches and the first aid patch, when I go
back to the pits after a crash, there is no car sound, only other car noises
and ambient track noise. Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on?TIA.
