F1C Melbourne and Braking Problems

I recently picked up F1C and started racing at Melbourne. One thing that I
have found very frustrating is that I always end up retiring with brake
failure. If I try and back off on the brakes to conserve them, I loose a LOT
of time. It seems to me that the brake wear rate in this sim is artifically
high.

Is there anything that can be done (such as an .ini setting) that can
aleviate this?

Thanks.

I assume you've increased the brake duct in the car setup?  Failing that,
you just need to try not to brake and accelerate at the same time too
much...

In the options, change the damage setting from "Time Scaled" to normal.

Barrichello had the same problems today :-)
