am I correct, there is not mid race save available in the game. I
remember the save was introduced in the patch for N2

That is correct, you can only save the results of the previous session, ie
qualifying.

This feature really burns me, because I don't have 6 hours to sit down and run
a complete or even a 75% race the save feature was great for running a few laps
at a time when I could.

I used to think that way, but have gotten where I just run 40-50% races. I
have done a couple of 100% races online though, and they were a blast. ( in
N3).
I can see where folks that were used to and enjoyed 100% races by saving
them and running intermittently would really miss it, perhaps if enough
folks voiced how much they would like to have it Papy would add it in.
They've done it before.
