Which Game Card to Buy

by Ray Ama » Mon, 30 Dec 1996 04:00:00

Hi,

I have a T2 that I'm using with NASCAR. I'm trying to find a good game
card to use with the game for better response. I now have a
multi-function sound & game card. Does anyone have one they would
recommend? How about the one made by Thrustmaster?

Thanks,

Ray

Hi Ray,
I have had the Thrustmaster ACM Game Card for a few months, hooked up to
my T2 and I think it's great. The card comes with software (TMS) that
calibrates your input device. One of the neat things about it is you can
hook up four different devices and switch back and forth with the TMS
program. Also if you have only a wheel/pedal & 'stick/throttle (like I
do) there is a program that lets you switch between the two (no need for
a joyswitch). This can be found at there website. The manual is also
easy to understand.
I think you'll like it.

Hi Ray,
I prefer the ACM to CH,I have one of each. The reason
being the ACM has a hardware speed adjustment as opposed to the CH which is
software adjustable.

I have that one! The Thrustmaster ACM GameCard came recommended with my
TM GP1 Steering Wheel. I'm very happy with it. It never fails me. One
great advantage of it is that the regulation of speed is made by a
exterior control and not by some software driver that could just get
screwd up by some odd game.

You can't go very wrong if you bet in ThrustMaster.
