:>What kind of game card should I get? I have a Pentium 133...I
:>assume I need a speed adjustable card; I used to have a Gravis
:>card in my 386 and 486, but it's toast now...and I'm sure it
:>couldn't deal with the higher bus speed anyway. I'd like one
:>that can configure itself...I never did like the little dial
:>on the Gravis card... :) Besides, my kid would probably eat
:>the damn thing... :)
I recently purchased a game card for the wheel that I made and the pedals
that I plan to make. It's a CH GameCard 3 (automatic) and is very good.
I'm very pleased with it. It's configured with a program that is executed
from the autoexec.bat but is not a TSR. It takes no memory. Just sets the
card and exits. The box states that it can handle "from 4.77 MHz up to 120
MHz and more!" and also claims to be pentium compatible. I'm on a 486
dx2/66 so not sure if it will handle a Pentium but can't think of any
reason why it shouldn't. It cost me less than $50 and I think it's well
worth the money.
Hope this info helps.
Steve
