STCC difficulty settings

by Zoll » Mon, 13 Dec 1999 04:00:00

Hi,

today I played the STCC-Demo and now I'm wondering what difficulty settings
there are in STCC.
In the demo these are disabled, the settings of the demo seem to belong to
the 'sucker-class' as I even manage to win races when an AI car bumps into
me and I spin out.
So how good is the AI in the retail version and do the difficulty settings
only make the AI stronger or are there also more sim-like options?

TIA
Zolli

Ufortunatly, the AI isnt good at all in the retail version :(
They have "zero" intelligence, though they drive, atleast
at the track "Falkenberg", as the player does/should do :)

I have them at 135% there, and i can go quicker than them,
but there is no way to make a "halfdeacent" attempt to pass,
theyll just knock you of the track. So you have to make the right move,
at the right time.

That feeling of being stuck behind a car, although
you are faster than it, is quite uniqe for STCC IMHO. :)

Now, if I could get a little help from DICE to twaek a few things...

Take care!

That must be because they modeled the gameplay as IRL. Have you noticed any
particularly bad behaviour from the Audis...? ;-)
