AMD K6-2 500MHz processor?

Although I have no hard data to back it up, my K6-III 400 seems to be MUCH
faster than  my friend's K6-II 350.  The extra cache in the K6-III seems to
make a big difference.

It's not the extra cach, it's the _integrated_ cash. Runs at
processorspeed instead of busspeed!
